do the new shoes get the approval of team keebler?

Yes, my new shoes do get the approval of Team Keebler! My brand new Reebok Zigtechs are amazing! I don't feel as much pain as I have been the past few weeks. It's very clear that the style of the Zigs do in fact absorb shock. Plus, they are pink and support the Susan G Komen Foundation... Doesn't get any better than that!
Here's a quick update for everyone: Today was the first day I was officially able to lift the same amount of weight on both knees. It's a very hard work-in-progress, but we're getting there! It has been too cold out to run Keebler lately, but we've been doing other fun activities to keep his muscles occupied and healthy.
One more quick thing! For those of you who don't have Facebook or Twitter to contact us on, feel free to email us! Our email is teamkeebler@live.com, we would love to hear from each and every one of you! Your support and prayers have meant the world to us... Keep it coming!

new running shoes!

Hello everyone! Again on this blog, similar to the last one, not a lot has changed with the training. Keebler is continuing to get his long pretty hair back and my knee is continuing to recover very nicely! I am almost to the point where I can lift the same amount of weight on each knee, although I am still very careful while doing physical therapy. I don't want to push myself and make things worse in the long run. We're hoping that by mid-March I'll be able to put more weight on my knee, but until then we're not taking too many chances!
The only real update I do have for everyone is that I got new running shoes yesterday! Hot pink Reebok Zigs, I highly recommend them! They are very comfortable and perfect to put on when you're longing for an afternoon run with your dog. The Zigs absorb shock that your legs get when your feet pound on the cement or pavement, and I can't wait to try them out at the gym tomorrow on the treadmill to see if it actually does make my legs feel better! I'll be sure to let everyone know. Until then, no updates for now, but please keep checking back.

update, not much to say here though

Hi followers, sorry it's been about a week or so since we've updated. Our schedule with Christmas is very hectic right now, hence not being able to hit up the gym as much as we should be. As much as we love Christmas season every year, we are very much excited for it to slow down a little this year so we can continue to focus on our main goal - getting back out there! We don't have much of an update this time around, just letting everyone know we're still going strong.

our important post-Eukanuba updates!

Hello everyone! We just have some post-Eukanuba updates we would love to discuss with our readers.
First off, the four missing Eukanuba dogs in the stolen van were all found and returned to David & Kristina safely, praise God! The dogs are doing great and we were very happy to hear of their safe return.
Secondly, our biggest wishes of congratulations go out to AKC CH Propwash Reckon "Reckon," a fellow Aussie who received Best In Show at Eukanuba this past weekend! Congratulations, Reckon! Team Keebler is very proud of you for being such a wonderful example to our breed!
Lastly, we want to thank all of the people who make Eukanuba such a success every year. Team Keebler is a huge supporter of Eukanuba both in the show world and at home, we would never feed anything less! To the Eukanuba workers, judges, stewards, reporters, and everyone who makes this show possible every year, our heartfelt thank-yous go out to all of you!
As for Team Keebler, this week has been a tad bit hectic and we have not been able to train as often as we have been. We've both had a lot going on this week, but next week we will be back into the groove of things and getting whipped back into shape! Keep checking for updates.
My final personal note is to tell everyone from the dog show world "thank you" for all of the birthday wishes I received yesterday. Hearing from all of you has been very refreshing and I am blessed to not be traveling this journey alone!

GOOD LUCK, Eukanuba teams!

This is just a quick blog to wish all of our friends GOOD LUCK for this weekend at the prestegious Eukanuba National Championship! We wish you all the best for this weekend and we hope you enjoy the sunny weather in Long Beach.  I can't wait until next year when hopefully I'll be traveling there to help the Eukanuba company with numerous events.
We would also like to express our sympathy at this time for our fellow Australian Shepherd breeder and close friend, Amy Loy, and her husband Mark due to the unexpected passing of Amy's father.  Amy is the owner of TwinCreek Australian Shepherds and the person who blessed me with my baby, Keebler.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you both at this difficult time.

please send a prayer for the missing Eukanuba dogs.

Hello everyone! We hope that your Thanksgivings all went well and we also hope that your post-Thanksgiving shows over the weekend went well also!
First off, we would like to express our sympathy to David Peek and Kristina Rickard, whose van was stolen while traveling to Eukanuba. Four of their show dogs (two Akitas and two Corgis) were inside the van and were taken with it when it was stolen. Since then, the two Akitas have been reunited with them but the Corgis are still missing. This a very serious matter and we hope that if anyone has any information, they will contact the police. People do not realize the bond between owner and dog, it's so strong that in most cases it can never be broken. David and Kristina, we are praying for you and we hope for a safe and happy return of all the dogs.
On a little bit of a happier note, training has been going well this week. I can feel myself getting stronger in my arms, but my legs still need a lot of work. It's been hard with such a knee problem to get back up and moving, but we know it can be done! The physical therapy has been helping immensely. As for Keebler, he is doing great. He's been moving this whole week and luckily he is gaining weight. We've actually been worrying lately about his needed weight gain turning into fat, but that can quickly be changed with some "uphill exercise!" We're keeping a close eye on the "rolling factor" that he had when he was younger in hopes that it doesn't reappear again.
That's really all we have for now. Basically right now things are still moving slowly since it is all a new beginning. Please keep checking for updates, and please send a little prayer in for our fellow Eukanuba dogs in hopes that they are all safe.
